FAQ

How do I know I need help?

How do you know if you need professional counseling?  What are the common signs and symptoms? There are specific symptoms ranging in severity, which may include feelings of depression, extreme sadness, hopelessness, helplessness, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, panic attacks, mood swings, restlessness, feeling on edge, uncontrollable angry outbursts, crying episodes, lack of mental and physical energy, and poor concentration.  Other signs may include the use of drugs, binge drinking, or other unhealthy and self-harming behaviors.

Various symptoms make it very difficult, if not impossible for one to carry out their regular schedules and responsibilities, whether at work, school, or just being emotionally available as a parent or spouse.

If you are experiencing changes, not feeling yourself, less motivated, isolating, have lost interest, or have legal problems due to substance use, you may benefit by speaking with a counselor.

If you, or a loved one, are struggling with severe, long-lasting symptoms which are causing a disturbance in your daily life, or if your life feels like it is becoming unmanageable, there is help available. Why delay treatment?  Let us help you in your journey to overcome your struggles and get your life back.
